Polymicro Technologies, LLC. will feature technologies at the Conference on Lasers and Electro Optics/Quantum Electronics and Laser Science (CLEO/QELS) Conference in Baltimore, Maryland.
Hollow Silica Waveguides (HSW™) and X-Ferrule Technologies Featured

Phoenix, AZ - May 15, 2003 - Polymicro Technologies, LLC, the world-leader manufacturer and supplier in synthetic fused silica capillary tubing will feature Hollow Silica Waveguides fibers and the new X-Ferrule Technology at the 23rd annual conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics and the 11th Quantum Electronics and Laser Science Conference June 3-5, 2003 at Booth 835

Industry applications for Hollow Silica Waveguides:

  • Sensing

  • Infrared Spectroscopy

  • High Power Laser Waveguide

  • For Wavelengths 2.0 - 20 μm

About Hollow Silica Waveguide Fibers (HSW™)

Hollow Silica Waveguides provide low insertion loss and no end reflection.  Transmission can be optimized by CO2 or ER:YAG wavelengths and can be used in wavelengths from 2.9 to past 10.6μm.  HSWhas a high laser damage threshold, >1000W at 10.6 μm.  Strong and flexible HSW is also sterilizable*.

* The end manufacturer is responsible for bio-compatibility and sterilization testing and validation studies.
