Polymicro Technologies, a subsidiary of Molex Incorporated
Integrates New SAP System
On February 2, Polymicro is scheduled to transfer to the Corporate SAP computer system. The software changes will temporarily postpone Polymicro’s Shipping Department’s product deliveries and the web sites online ordering system. The Shipping Department will stop shipping orders on Thursday, January 29 and will resume Tuesday, February 3. The online ordering system will temporarily stop Monday, January 26 and will resume Tuesday, February 3.
Several events will be taking place on and around this time period.
-
Labels and Paperwork: New standardized labels are being introduced. There will also be new formats for all Packing Lists, Order Acknowledgments, and Invoices.
- Invoicing: Invoicing/Accounting will transfer to corporate headquarters in Lisle, IL.
- Part Numbers: Part numbers will change to newly assigned SAP numbers. Until the final transfer these new numbers will begin to appear on the labels in addition to the old part numbers. After the transfer to SAP the labels will be marked with the new numbers. To assist our customers for a short time period the old part number will still appear in the note section. For some customers this may require documentation changes to note the new part number.
- Reduced Shipping Period: With the transfer to the new system shipping will be at a minimum the last week of January and first week of February. Please plan accordingly.
As many of you know, transferring to a new computer system is never easy. Polymicro and the corporate SAP Transition team having been working together over the last 8 months to make this transition as smooth as possible.
