Polymicro
has many Machining and Laser Techniques to work with Silica and
Quartz. We are excited about our new X-Ferrule™ and X-Flow Cell™
technology* that allows us to make glass-to-glass hermetic seals with
very minimum stress and without the use of adhesives. We can also use
our techniques to make Tapers in Fiber Ferrules, Precision Nozzles, or
Grooves and Holes in Silica Plates or Tubes. In addition we use our
techniques to Laser Cut and/or Polish the ends of Tubes or Fibers. We
can remove Fiber or Tubing Coatings, leaving a very strong and clean
silica or quartz surface. Included in some of our common end process
on fibers or tubing are Tapers, Chamfers, Diffuser Tips, Ball Lenses,
or other components to assist with Optical and Flow design problems.
